Meet Our Chefs

Dan Ketner
Dan Ketner is Alta Chalet’s founding owner and has been creating amazing cuisine for our clients for many years. His loyal following of guests return year after year to experience his wonderful meals and warm hospitality. Dan’s passion for food, adventure and Alta are infectious. Over the years, Dan has catered for dignitaries and celebrities, been written up in Vanity Fair and Ski Magazine, but some of his favorite experiences are meeting the children of guests who themselves came to Alta has children and couldn’t wait to share “Dan” with their own families. He and his wife Adrienne travel extensively in the off season so he can experience new flavors and bring new inventive recipes back to Alta.

Theresa Chamberlin
Theresa is originally from Boston, MA and began working in hospitality at the age of 13. Her first kitchen job was at a neighborhood café, and she never looked back. After earning degrees from Cornell School of Hotel Administration and the Culinary Institute of America, Theresa has worked at a number of restaurants as a server, bartender, manager, and cook. She spent 9 months at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, where she learned the importance of slow food cooking. Most recently she has been honing her skills with Outstanding in the Field, traveling around the country and producing farm dinners with local artisans and chefs. Theresa loves to recreate dishes she has experienced at restaurants, particularly Mediterranean influenced recipes. We are delighted to have her join our Alta Chalets team and are looking forward to seeing her on the mountain and in the kitchen this winter.
